| Impulsive decision-making behavior is one of the most common types of irrational decisions in everyday life. This study was to explore the influence of different types of emotional motivation to impulse decision in the case of self- control depletion. This study includes one pre-experimental and two behavior experiments. The pre-experimental is to design motivation emotional pictures for the purpose of inducing emotional motivation. 160 pictures chosen to start emotional motivation of subjects(positive approaching, negative withdrawing and neutral). The subject should evaluate the effect. Experiment 1 using 2(depletion,none depletion)×5(1 day, 7 days,30 days, 90 days, 180 day) mixed design. The between-subject variable was self- control depletion, the within-subject variable was the delay time and the dependent variable was the k value of the delay discount rate.Experiment 2 using 3(positive approaching, negative withdrawing, neutral controlling)× 5( 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 180day) mixed design, The between-subject variable is emotional motivation, the within-subject was the delay time and the dependent variable is the k value of the delay discount rate. The results of experiment 1 showed that the main effect is remarkable under the circumstances of depletion F(1,59) =5.659,p=.021,ηp2=.089.and delay time:F(4,236) = 276.639, p <.001. ηp2=.827.The interaction between self control depletion and delay time issignificant:F(4,236) = 9.644, p <.001, ηp2=.143. The results of experiment 2 showed that the main effect of emotional motivation:F(2,118) = 12.498, p <.001, ηp2=.305 and the main effect of delay time was significant:F(4,236) = 259.224, p <.001, ηp2=.852 and the interaction between the type of emotional motivation and the delay time was significant:F(8,472) =4.526,p <.001.ηp2=.137.The study shows that:1.Self-control depletion promoted impulsive decision-making,and individuals of self control depletion were more likely to make impulsive decision-making than the individuals of none depletion.2..Motivation of positive approaching promoted impulsive decision-making, motivation of negative withdrawal restrained impulsive decision-making.3.Delay time had an impact on impulsive decision-making.Individuals were more likely to make impulsive decision-making under the circumstances of recent decision-making than the circumstances of long term decision-making. |
