The Study Of Wang Zujie And Zhang Zhuoya’s Historical And Mythology Vocal Works And Singing

Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya are well-known productive China modern composers and they are also among the rare married couples in music circle in China compose. They have committed themselves to creating works that corresponds with the demands of times as well as full of national characteristics, including national opera, musicals, art songs, film songs, chorus divertimento, military songs etc. All these works have greatly enriched China vocal music art and stimulate national vocal music development. In recent years, songs on history and myth topic have sprung up in various vocal competitions like Farewell, Wang Zhaoju, Drunken Beauty, Curse of the Golden Flower are all well acclaimed. Truly understanding and interpretation on these music vocals benefits in Chinese culture heritage, great history review, people character education and has positive effect on promoting musical vocal development. Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya have made great achievement in historical and mythology vocal work creation, which greatly contributes to China vocal work development.This study aims to analysis historical and mythology vocal work on the basis of Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya’s work to research characteristic of this type of work and boost theoretical research in national vocal work. This article consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, it mainly described the history of vocal works from ancient mythology to modern times and vocal works by Wang Zujie and Zhang Zuoya. Their works’ artistic characteristics are detailed discussed in the second chapter. Chapter 3 is about fundamental elements on performance vocal works of Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya’s and analysis on how to play this with real example. By studying Wang Zujie and Zhang Zhuoya’s work characteristic and aesthetic treatment, this study intends to provide helpful thoughts for national vocal music singer and vocality teaching staff on historical and mythology vocal work comprehension and performance.
