My final project "afterimage" uses the classical "Protein printing" Photographytechnique. In various categories of photography, the Western classical manual printing photographic techniques are mature. before photography introduceed to China, classic photographic tecniques were replaced by lots of other more advanced photographic tecniuque, in that way lots of classic hand made photography tecniques have not polular in China. with the lack of hand made photographic tecniques in the photogrpahy history of China, the photo makers in China are not aboundent and scatterd in the whole China trying to improve their skills by themeves. Althrouh some of the magzine and media as well as gallary have introduce and promote the popularity of hand make c lassic photograhic tecniques, but they are limited to exhibition and introduction of the related tecniques skills. My final project is a combination of tecniques and my works.this time I try protein printing to finish my final project which related to the buddha relics. Buddha is the most popular statue in China. But buddha statue is also the most destroied statue, with the history reason, as well as wall and thives, lots of buddha were destroied and cut to pieces. Comparing with the well portected buddha statue, we never know it is their destiny or not. Those thieves and invadors’ s shame behaviour change them like this, I wish this kinds of bueaty can well preserved by way of photography.
