Report On The Translation Of Solutions For Intelligent Transportation

This is a report on the translation of Solutions for Intelligent Transportation(the first two parts) by Hik Vision, a famous security enterprise in China. The source text, including the preface, the company profile, tens of typical cases of intelligent transportation as well as some solutions for intelligent transportation, is based on knowledge of science and a lot of technical terms and composed with many long sentences, which possessed great challenge to the translator. The background of the project and the content analysis of the source text make up the first chapter; introduction to the translation process including the preparation before translation, the theory based on which the translation was carried out and the difficulties in translation is made in Chapter 2; and then came Chapter 3 discussing words and long complicated sentences in the translation of texts of science and technology, besides, quality control approaches are also presented in Chapter 3; Chapter 4 produces the conclusion, covering the project summary, insufficiencies and lessons learnt from the translation project.
