The second chapter discusses changes occurred in LIU Xing-long ‘s fiction works in the mid-1990 s,works splendor from the romantic to deep dignified,composed of veiled reality to face the reality.As deputy of writers of " Realism", he criticized realism warmly and excavated glory of human nature, forming a " parent " image base. What the third chapter discusses is LIU Xing-long’s pursuit on creation.In his novel,the realistic theme and romantic characteristics was carried out with the perfect fusion of inheritance,which had a perfect show in his epic novel named "Heavenly gate".He turned to the historical process of universal concern by the reality of the concerns of life, wanting to better grasp the reality by understanding the history clearly and he successfully shaped the “Big love”image named Mei grandmother and XUE Ning.
