| In this research, Fan Kuan and Dong Yuan is to be studied, base on the external form and connotation development of Chinese landscape painting by discussing their works in similar theme but different styles. The analysis consists cultural and historical background and painting-style characters’ research, in order to get a deep comprehension of their aesthetic thoughts and reveal the relationship between painting and politics in Song and the Five dynasty. To some extent, it also help us to think about the development trend of modern Chinese Landscape Painting.There parts are included in this paper. The first part introduces the content, literature review, meaning, purpose and methods of the study. The Second part is the main body of the text, consisting of three chapters. Chapter One, making a comparison in the different aesthetic thought, basic techniques and painting concept of Dong Yuan and Fan Kuan through their works. Chapter Two, analyzing their similar aesthetic thoughts of imitation and creation of paintings and the opposite form of their aesthetic ideal under the influence of living environment, inner spiritual emotion and social change. Chapter three, discussing the great influence of Dong Yuan and Fan Kuan and the contemporary reflection of Chinese Landscape Painting. The last Part summarizing the research content and results of this paper. |
