From the birth of Chinese blue and white porcelain, it has become the mainstream product in Ming and Qing Dynasties and widely recognized by people all over the world.Meanwhile, it has become one of the most popular appliance in people’s daily life, which signifies its irreplaceable role and cultural significance.With the political and economic changes and the development of science and technology and the impact of multi-cultural values, the Chinese blue and white porcelain which has a history of more than 700 years and has been a unique and complete ancient art system declines inevitably and ceases to develop. It is a significant task for all the pottery workers to study how to integrate contemporary art concept into Chinese blue and white porcelain but keep its national uniqueness and make it have new artistic life.As a youth who is enthusiastic about ceramic art and with this kind of responsibility and thought in my mind, I have been concentrating on the creation in recent years. My works such as Fu Yun, and Shuiyun Jian are based on the contemporary art concept and modern ceramics style,and adopt the skill of high temperature burning of traditional blue and white materials, and use modern installation skill for display. This kind of new artistic expression of blue and white porcelain is gradually recognized by most young pottery workers. I hope that through this kind of attempt and exploration, modern people can enjoy the visual shock of modern art when they recall the ancient and elegant blue and white porcelain art.
