Research on the religiousness of Confucianism began in the period of Matteo Ricci within Catholicism, and the religiousness of Confucianism has been accepted by many people after more than one hundred years of big discussion. As one of the most important representatives of the third phase of modern new Confucian, Du Weiming dedicated himself to the development of Confucianism. From the perspective of the global field of vision, he searches the relation between the contemporary Social Problems with Confucianism, and completely affirms that Confucianism plays an important role in humanity accomplishment and personality shaping. Researching his thought can help us in knowing of the modern value of Chinese traditional culture and thought resources.Du Weiming’s opinion on the religiousness of Confucianism is a response to the thought of Confucianism modern fate has a pessimistic conclusion. Since so many years, he has curried on the modernization of Confucianism through a variety of methods, in order to achieve his goal through the reconstruction of the Confucian humanistic spirit. For the religiousness of Confucianism, his thought reflects in The Golden Mean of The Confucian School, including the following concepts of A man of noble character, Community and Moral metaphysics. He found that Confucianism is filled with profound ethical religious implication and has the important modern value.
