A Corpus-based Study On The "De" Sentence

The "de" sentence is the sentence with the word "de" in the end,which is commonly used in Chinese and in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Previous research on the "de" sentence is mainly about one or several aspects of"shi......de"、 " (shi)......de"、"......de"、list、some special usage and "de" phrase. Based on May 29,period 1580 to July 31,period 1589. ten Southern Weekend electronic newspaper and from July 8 to 7 August 31 People’s Daily electronic newspaper as source of "de" sentence,we set up a small dynamic "de" sentence corpus. On the basis of the corpus, we divide"de" sentence into simple sentence and complex sentence. On the theory of Construction grammar,we make a comprehensive analysis about the form and meaning of "de" sentence, in order to provide reference for research and teaching.This thesis include eight chapters:The first chapter introduces the background of the topic, introduces the purpose,content, methods and values of the thesis.The second part defines the "de" sentence, the "de" sentence is the sentence with the word "de" in the end.The " "de" phrase which can clearly be discriminated do not belong to this study of "de" category. In this paper, the "de" sentence is divided into two levels:simple sentence and complex sentence. Among them, simple sentence includes "shi......de"、" (shi)......de" and three other fixed structure. Complex types are for example,parallel, selection, progressive, transition, contrast etc.The third chapter analyzes "shi......de" thoroughly.This paper argues that "shi......de" has two significance:judgment and emphasis.According to degree of adverbs before "shi......de", the judgment is divided into strong and weak judgment.According to different components.the emphasis is divided into emphasizing reason, agent, background, mode, object, possibility, purpose etc..The forth chapter reviews "......de".The paper divides it into AA (adjective reduplication)+"de"、four words structure+"de" these three situations.The fifth chapter discusses three other fixed structure,including "ting/gou/hui......de"、"……shi de/……shen me de" "zhen de/shi de"The sixth chapter divides complex types into example,parallel,selection, progressive, transition, contrast etc.The seventh chapter divides "de" analysis into ten kinds of main structure type according to the results of corpus, their form and meaning have guiding significance of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The last chapter summarizes some shortcomings existed in the research, and direction in the future.
