According to I-R-F model for analyzing classroom discourses, teaching activity is fundamentally launched by teacher’s initiations, student’s response and teacher’s follow-up—the verbal feedback on student’s answers to the questions. As the main input of the target language for learners in TCSL, it is apparent that teacher’s verbal feedback is full of importance. However, the concerned research is rare in the field. The present research has made a case study of 9 excellent teachers, according to the classroom observation, recording, microscopic analysis and interviewing method as well as the method of explanation quantitative and qualitative. Combined with Scaffolding Theory, the findings are presented as follows:the teachers use various kinds of feedback and most of them tend to use the "form of negotiation" among the negative feedback. The feedback, meanwhile, provides scaffolding functions in improving students’ cognitive competence and emotional attitude and they use it skillfully. And at the end of the paper, it shows the enlightenment about the observation. In short, I sincerely hope teachers will pay more attention to the effectiveness of teachers’ verbal feedback in use.If so, the verbal feedback could work well.
