Since 2000, Taiwan films creation presents a new atmosphere different from before.An influx of horror thriller films not only promoted the breakthrough and innovation of film art in Taiwan, but also spurred Taiwan film market to obtain competitiveness. Although Taiwan creepier image is still in the early stages of a toddler, but the value of its existence can not be ignored.The body of this paper is divided into four chapters. The chapter one discusses the origin of creation about present Taiwan horror thriller films from the creation history of these movies. The second chapter analyzes deeply on the theme and aesthetic connotation of Taiwan horror thriller films in the early years of the new century. It highlights a unique aesthetic pursuit of Taiwan horror thriller films. The third chapter mainly talks about the audio style of Taiwan horror thriller films which are different from other countries and regions. The fourth chapter affirms its cultural value since the 20th century. The defects of Taiwan horror thriller films are also mentioned in this paper to expect a long-term development of Taiwan film genre.
