The rapid development of network technology provides new space for translation criticism. Internet-based translation criticism has gradually entered into many scholars’ eyes. However, the relevant researches are comparatively insufficient. After translation research went through the shift from philological paradigm to structuralist paradigm then to deconstructive paradigm, the perspective of the researchers has been changed from subjectivity to inter-subjectivity. The issue on inter-subjectivity of translation criticism is also worthy of attention. Translation criticism cannot be just some subjective opinions of the critic his own, but should be a kind of equal relationship of communication among subjects.Habermas’s theory of communicative action is applied as the theoretical tool to expound inter-subjectivity of Internet-based translation criticism. This research states the shift from subjectivity to inter-subjectivity in translation studies and concludes the features of Internet-based translation criticism, then analyzes the characteristics of each subject of Internet-based translation criticism. From the perspectives of three validity claims in “life world”, this thesis takes the online translation criticisms of Harry Potter series as examples to respectively analyze the embodiment of authenticity, correctness and sincerity in interactive relationship among subjects. Finally, under the guidance of Habermas’s consensus theory of truth, the reflection of current activities of Internet-based translation criticism is presented, and some suggestions for future standardized development are proposed. The results of research indicate that the immediacy and convenience of Internet has enhanced the interaction among subjects of translation criticism, which is beneficial to the development of inter-subjectivity of translation criticism. The virtuality and openness of Internet promotes the diversity of Internet-based translation criticism. While, there still exists some serious problems. Therefore, by means of the theory of communicative action, the three validity claims should be used as the evaluation criteria; the interactivities of subjects should be restricted by three validity claims; the subjects should achieve “the consensus truth” by mutual understanding and the critics should count on “consensus of truth” to assess translation value, translation strategies and so on, so as to promote the objectivity and fairness of Internet-based translation criticism and create a harmonious criticism circumstances on the Internet.
