By virtue of the cognitive illocutionary metonymy deficiencies in Shuangguan traditional researches, this paper mainly illustrates two problems:(1) Shuangguan is deemed as a cog-pragmatic phenomenon classified as the illocutionary metonymy study category. The operational model in Shuangguan is also Attribute-enforcementassociation, involving cause-effect induction;(2) This paper argues that “attribute”, “consciousness”, “intentionality”, “meaning construal” have almost same traits, and the last three have almost identical concept. The so-called “Attribute-enforcementassociation” is a specific operational-driven procedure insertion among the nonoperational concepts. enigmatic folk similes taken as the study objective and data, illocutionary metonymy taken as theoretical framework, this paper holds the socalled “attribute-operation” as the simplest means to achieve implicature in indirect speech, by standard of which this paper expounds and proves the rationality and efficiency of the model proposed.Shuangguan could be deemed as a word or a sentence represents another irrelevant meaning, according to the homophony or homography, dominated by particular contexts. That is to say, Shuangguan include two categories: homophone Shuangguan and homograph ones. Shuangguan refer to homophones and synonymys of words or phrases which could result in the double or multiple meanings of sentences in a certain language environment. Previous studies of Shuangguan is limited to rhetoric domain, but this paper attempts to accomplish theoretical innovation which is the significant diversion from conventional studies. That is, profoundly researching aims one branch of cognitive linguistics——illocutionary metonymies operating mechanism. The foothold of this study the hard core claims of illocutionary metonymies——the basic idea is that an attribute of a speech act can stand for the speech act itself.(Panther, 2004:103-104). However, the previous researches on the study of Shuangguan mainly focus on the rhetoric studies, stay on searching and sorting out the Shuangguan, analyze the structures of Shuangguan which consists of two parts, as well as the features of the concrete theoretical basis. Currently, the linguistic study has been translated from descriptive paradigm into focusing more on the mechanism study on the foundation of description. At present, Scan interpretation study has been paid to the cognitive mechanism and operation of Shuangguan. This paper aims to give an interpretation to reveal the mechanism behind it through the perspective of illocutionary metonymies. The paper’s author proposes four features of Shuangguan in the perspective of cognitive pragmatics. First, Shuangguan is an indirect speech act. Second, Shuangguan embodies the intentionality of cognitive pragmatics. Third, Shuangguan possesses cancelability. The attitude and the content of intentionality are affected by the context. Shuangguan has the feature of pragmatic vagueness. The so-called “Attribute-enforcement-association” is a specific operationaldriven procedure insertion among the non-operational concepts. Shuangguan is taken as the study objective and data, illocutionary metonymy taken as theoretical framework, this paper holds the so-called “attribute-operation” as the simplest means to achieve implicature in indirect speech.Through the blending and adapting other linguistic theories for reference, including the blending theory and mental models theory, in order to prove the rationality of attribute operation, to improve the macro-level metonymy operation, it aims at constructing the “attribute enforcement association” model, which a highlyspecific and constrained attribute inferential model based on the amended version of the original IM and blending theory. It is expected that not only can IM’s maneuverability and explanatory power be promoted in this manner, but also the applicability should be extended into a larger area of linguistic phenomena owing to the proposed model. This paper is divided into six parts. Part one consists of the relevant research background, research objectives, motivation, hypothesis, etc. They make a brief introduction of the necessity and feasibility of this paper. Part two, the part of the literature review makes an overview of illocutionary metonymy used in Shuangguan research. Literature review makes the reason why we apply the attribute enforcement-association model to Shuangguan explicit. Part three is the theoretical framework and method. Based on the previous interpretation of Shuangguan, the author puts forward her own analysis model——the attribute enforcement-association model in order to demonstrate the necessity, rationality and validity of the attribute enforcement-association model.Part four is the results of the study. The author develops a renewed appreciation for the cognitive pragmatic of Shuangguan, in order to explain the cognitive pragmatic characteristics of Shuangguan in detail. The part systematically analyzes the procedure of Attribute cause and effect inference of Shuangguan. Part five applies the application and the examples of Shuangguan in Attribute Model, interpreting the applicable process of this framework in order to clarify the procedure and influence of two kinds of contexts on Shuangguan. Part six makes a conclusion at last. It summarizes the contributions and applications of our findings. Meanwhile, the author points out the limitations and the reference opinions for the further study. The newly proposed inferential model offers a fresh analytical approach and interpretive perspective. It is used to further explain illocutionary metonymies in daily life. This sets up a mechanism for the Shuangguan and explanation of IM in a different comprehensive way.
