Stereotype is characterized by a certain group of induction and generalization, which is one of the effects of impression formation in common. Individuals or groups classify the target groups based on gender, age, race, appearance and other characteristics so that the target groups have a common social-demographic characteristics. This fixity of view, once formed is difficult to change by new experiences, therefore, the formation of stereotypes based on limited experience tend to have a negative effect.In this study, combined with the new generation of migrant workers in recent years, the stereotype research findings are summarized on the basis of experimental verification, self-report questionnaire study, the implicit association test and characterization of model stereotypes feature words by polar opposites, the urban population of newborn generation of migrant workers as well as the formation of stereotypes characteristic path of exploration and research, the main conclusions of the study are:(1)The explicit stereotype characteristics of urban residents to generation of migrant workers: the evaluation of both significant positive traits, including evaluation of significant negative traits; stereotype of the positive aspects of the content, including active, gregarious, optimistic dimensions, negative aspects include casual indulgence, impetuous, sluggishness and other acting style dimensions; the new generation of migrant workers explicit stereotype consistency within groups by age, education as well as in life, work with the new generation of migrant workers in contact frequency influence;(2)The implicit stereotype characteristics of urban residents to generation of migrant workers: both include evaluation of significant positive traits, including evaluation of significant negative traits; the content of stereotypes, including altruism, width, and, tough; within groups with high consistency, gender, age, education and other social-demographic variables implicit Stereotype directional and intensity no significant difference;(3)Stereotype path validation aspects: the impression that the product is focused on the three models, namely the prototype model, sample models and hybrid models are effective; which, by comparison between the prototype model and sample model, suggesting that the new generation of migrant workers stereotype formation process, priority information extracted sample. |
