Since 21 th century, with the change of the social context of Chinese and the further deepening of market economy, new century has brought Tibetan Themes Film back to new life, and are a vivid contrast to previous Tibetan Themes Film of 20 th century on the production or styles. Tibetan Themes Film is not only a branch of Chinese Minority Nationality Film, but also an integral component of Chinese Film. At the same time, for the reason of realistic politics, Tibetan Themes Film always carries a strong Political-load. Accordingly, academic circle was supposed to actively study Tibetan Themes Film. Obviously, so far there have been lacks of research materials concerned. Considering these factors above, on the basis of the historical evolution of Tibetan Themes Film and the context of globalization, the dissertation has focused on the Tibetan Themes Film since 21 th century and analyzes the evolution of film creation and aesthetic style, deeply dissects the different aesthetic appeal between Tibetan and Han ethnic director, rethink the chronic malady and the dilemma of Tibetan Themes Film, in order to enrich and perfect the theory of Tibetan Themes Film research.The first chapter of the dissertation organizes the developmental process of Tibetan Themes Film during 20 th century, based on the history of Chinese Minority Nationality Film and the development status of Chinese Film industry. The second chapter of the dissertation analyzes and summarizes the multiple accretion of development Status at Tibetan Themes Film since 21 th century under the context of globalization. The third part is based on the culture context of new century, focuses on the two Tibetan directors, analyzes the image style of documentary aesthetics, and deeply dissects the national culture identity appeal which was reflected in the culture conflict narrative discourse in their films. The fourth chapter focuses on the Han directors, analyzes Tibetan imagination of alienation and spectacle, and “the Other”-narration approach in their films. Meanwhile, there will be a study about the HaSiChaoLu’s film “Thangka” on Culture Consciousness which Tibetan Themes Film should be engaged. The fifth chapter of the dissertation points out and rethinks three issues which occur in Tibetan Themes Film Since 21 th century, which is the novelty-seeking consumption of the Other, the trap of Multiculturalism, the survival crisis of marginalization.
