Visual Expression Of The Aboriginal Culture Of Taiwan And Field Study Of The Aboriginal Cultural Park Of Pingdong County

The aborigines of Taiwan and their unique cultures had long been suppressed and seen as little value down along the history of Taiwan, they still face the dangers of being assimilate with the dominating culture even till today. The main focus of this thesis, besides studying the culture and history of the 16 main aboriginal tribes of Taiwan, also to study how these tribes adapt to the speeding changes of the development of Taiwan’s society and its’ effects on them. Combining with the field study of the Aboriginal Cultural Park of the Pingdong County, the writer will also be able to study how and what the relating authorities in Taiwan had done to help to protect these aboriginal cultures.
