The Research On The Acceptance Of Yu Guangzhong’s Poems

Yu Guangzhong has a free travel among the Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the USA. Through his writing career, Yu Guangzhong has been probing into the complex relationship between Chinese and western as well as tradition and modern.Under the spirit of continually exploring and writing, Yu Guangzhong has created a large quantity of poems which have greatly enriched the chinese literary resources. After over thirty years’ reading by the Chinese mainland, the influence of Yu Guangzhong and his poems has managed to break through the Literary circles and have been penetrating into the public. Meanwhile, Yu Guangzhong and his poems have been commonly recognized between the elegent culture and the vulgar culture.Depending on the reception aesthetics and the acceptance of Yu Guangzhong’s poems during the passed thirty years, this paper places much emphasis on exploring some unique characteristics as well as some corresponding reflections reflected in the process of the spread and acceptance. Beside the introduction and the conclusion, the total text can be divided into four chapters. Based on the study about the spread and acceptance of Yu Guangzhong’s poems, the first chapter is to sort out the process in which Yu Guangzhong and his poems have been recognized. The second chapter,including the analysis on the acceptance of Yu Guangzhong’s poems among the elite intellectuals, official languages and public discourse, plays a significant role in this text.Through exploring different periods and aesthetic tastes as well as concerns of the recipients, the fact that Yu Guangzhong obviously benefits his aesthetic values from readers’ continiously reading and misreading can be easily found out. The third chapter probes into the acceptance and reasons of Yu Guangzhong’s poems in the view of social background and parnassus atmosphere. Relied on reflecting the spread and acceptance of Yu Guangzhong’s poems, the fourth chapter discusses the mutual influence between the readers or the development of poetry and Yu Guangzhong.Reception aesthetics as a new perspective is widely used in the research on Yu Guangzhong and his poems. However, the existing research is not only partial but also incomprehensive. Therefore, it’s indeed necessary to make a systematic study in the aceeptance of Yu Guangzhong’s poems. This text has enriched the research of Yu Guangzhong and his poems as well as filled the blanks in the acceptance.
