This paper is divided into three parts, from the angle of music ontology, music imagery and music tunes and lyrics, to find the effects of western regions music on poetry,during the Northern Zhou and Sui Dynasty.The first chapter, concerns the relation of Qibuyue, Jiubuyue, Shibuyue with politics and music during the Sui and Tang Dynasty. First, describe the music structure of Jiubuyue, as foundation. Then, investigate the music playing order and the number of musical performance, in order to find the change of political function. The relation between Qibuyue, Jiubuyue, Shibuyue and music was that, the developing process, was an important model of Tang Daqu.The second chapter describes the influence of western regions music imagery on poetry, in the Northern Dynasties. The development of western regions music, always connect with politics. And the meaning of western regions music imagery, has became fixed, the poems’ style began to change. The emotional style of imagery, change from tragic to vigorous. The imagery of Baixi, and mask drama, was also influenced by western regions music. These two kinds of imagery, make poetry become more entertaining.The last chapter describes the influence of music tunes and lyrics on poetry. First,discuss the definition of Gexing. Then, the western regions music, can be divided into two different systems, northern music and western music. They influence the development of Gexing. These two systems of music, promote the progress of frontier poems and Gexing,during the Sui and Tang Dynasty.
