Yang Shiqing Music Research

Yang Shiqing, Daur, ethnomusicologist, is committed to collecting, sorting, exploring and researching ethnic minority music for a long time. He often travels to the North minority area to discover the beauty of folk music, where there’s an abundant supply of folk music materials. After years of painstaking research, Mr. Yang has made a series of achievements in the researches of northern minority nationality music, the music of Daur, the musical and cultural studies and Daur. Besides collection of Chinese folk and ethnic music, and compilation of several dictionaries, textbooks, and art books, Mr. Yang Shiqing has been invited to participate in the national key scientific research projects, and published a sequence of papers which have high academic value. He also has participated in large number of domestic and international academic conferences and academic forums. As a famous contemporary ethnomusicologist well versed in the minority nationality music research, he plays a positive role in promoting the development of the research on minority music discipline and his works have been cited quite often as theoretical bases by contemperary musicians when they are carrying out the researches on musical culture of minority ethinic. The Daur nationality music has been the focus of research of Yang Shiqing as a resulf of his love to his ethnics. Having formed a personal style, ethnomusicology research methods, and historical view and outlook, he has made great contribution to the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage.In this paper, Yang Shiqing academic career as a background, and he was in China, especially minority academic achievement Daur music for theoretical research, analysis and summary of their academic achievements and contributions to music. From the multi-angle interpretation Yang Shiqing in China Daur ethnic minority music, especially musical heritage, the development of an outstanding contribution to highlight its important role in the development of minority music history in the process, objective and fair evaluation of their achievements and contributions.
