As a social culture phenomenon, the ritual is an important part in social life. The folk ritual’s changing is a mirror that can reflect social change and development. Also the ritual is an important variable in the participation and performance of the changes of social culture. To study the changes of the folk ritual, can explore the path of the contemporary Chinese social culture changes in some extent.Based on the Shang Deng Ritual in a ancient Ming Dynasty Townin Fu Chuan, Guang Xi as a case, the paper explores the changes of it, arounding the ritual procedures, taboos and symbolic significance and function. Using "the power of culture network" as the analysis tool, we will discuss how the nation, community and people, as the three nodes of network, that acted on the process of folk ritual, as well as the interactive relationship among them. Finally, this paper discusses the ways of folk ritual’s adaptation in the new period.The study found, after continued development, interrupted, restored and developed, the folk ritual presents the characteristics of modernity. In this process, the nation become the leader of the folk ritual’s changing by manipulation of the legitimacy space of the folk ritual, and community in which acts as a protector, while people are fans of folk ritual. In fact, the process of the folk ritual’s changing is an interaction process among nation, community and people, which showed different interactive relationship in different periods. At the same time, they are acting on the folk ritual, contributing to the changes of the ritual, and updating the culture of power network. At last, in the process of folk ritual’s adaptation in the new period, the cultural owners should be mutual cooperation and common counsel.
