Development Of Circumstance Created By Guzheng Music

Since the foundation of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, Guzheng music works emerge successively. Among which, some excellent and distinctive works absorbed new creative ideas and playing techniques on the basis of traditional Chinese music, raising the requirements for Guzheng playing techniques and ways of expression up to a higher level, thus promoting the development of the art of Chinese zither.In most cases, environment may have a significant impact on the development of things. As aspects of social background, political strategies, culture and art background in different periods pose indirect or direct effect to the composers’ creative thinking, the development of art is restricted by social background changes. In this paper, the backgrounds of four representative works are sorted out, and the composers’ aesthetic thinking forming in different environments are analyzed to explore the law of development of Chinese zither music.
