The middle of the last century, Feng Zicun, who is reputed for the master of bamboo flute from north of China, performed Chinese Dizi in the form of solo on the stage. Prior to this, Chinese Dizi is an musical instrument only to be one of the accompaniments for Chinese opera. Over the past 60 years, a lot of Chinese Dizi and Xiao experts and professionals make efforts to explore and reform the musical instruments, to search scientific musical considerations and compose. The art Chinese Dizi and Xiao has obtained great progress and development. Nowadays, Chinese Dizi and Xiao’s performance form is not only solo or be a accompaniment,but also very popular in ensemble and tutti. Solo and ensemble is key issue for people to study the art of Chinese Dizi and Xiao.The introduction section briefly introduces the development history of Chinese traditional bamboo flute music art since last century archaeological find bone flute, until the beginning of the 20 th century the development of the whole history of the bamboo flute art and gives a summary of existing research.The first chapter begin with the starting point last century. introduced during the "new culture movement", Liu Tianhua, Xiao Youmei, Zhao Yuanren,as Chinese foreign-educated pioneer made a hit in a layer of intellectuals of Chinese improvement activities. During the prosperity period of Chinese Dizi music art is, Chinese Dizi was introduce to became a form of solo instrument and developed by the predecessors such as Wei Zhongyue, Sun Yude, Feng Zicun, from original scattered in folk opera music around the team.The second chapter mainly introduces the period since Chinese Dizi music art established the position of solo, to the reform and opening up time. In music creation, compilation of teaching materials, teaching, the reform of musical instruments and many other aspects of development, now this kind of art facing the trend of diversity music culture, In the wave of electronic information society of western pop music, electronic music, new music, traditional flute music is required to seek a new historical development.In the third chapter, the writer set Professor Zhang Weiliang and his Chinese Dizi music team as an example, who is the first leader of contacting the Chinese Dizi and Xiao music with western electronic music production. This section analysis the development status and the future development trend from the aspects compose of music, teaching system, textbook-compilation, performance-practice, technology development, music aesthetics, to the construction of traditional folk music and flute music art of scientific, systematic education platform, and the full range of the ensemble, solo, duet of the the Chinese Dizi music art.The conclusion represents from the establishment of the solo status of Di zi art,so far, the development of the flute music art only lasts for a few decades. Compared with the early solo art development, the art itself improved a lot on their own artistic of performances. Facing the increasingly rapid development society today, how to learn from peer art, promote a wider space for the development of Di zi music art is still a research topic that worth studying.
