The Research Of Trumpet Teaching Method And System Of Professor Chenjiamin

Based on Professor Chen Jiamin’s trumpet teaching method, and also by referring to my learning experience as his student, this dissertation mainly discusses Professor Chen’s trumpet teaching system. An analysis of his teaching method and system would be provided through a key description of trumpet basics and etudes teaching. The first chapter of trumpet basics teaching primarily illustrates the methods and the requirements of long tongue,slur and tongue exercising. The second and third chapters are etudes teaching, consisting of the performance and teaching of technical etudes as well as etudes of various styles respectively. More than the specific description of teaching method, this essay provides a comprehensive summary of professor Chen’s teaching system. To enable readers to have a more intuitive understanding, this essay uses spectrum,description of technique and the language that is often used by Professor Chen. I hope this dissertation would be helpful for trumpet learners.
