Hands coordination plays an important role in Erhu performance. It concerns not only the basic elements of sound and time, such as intonation, rhythm and dynamics, but music sense-for instance, expressions, images and imagination-behind the scores also. Therefore a performer needs effective training devices so as to archive the technical unity of right and left hand.This dissertation consists of 3 chapters in which reference materials the author has consulted are contained, along with her personal study experience. Chapter 1 The Hands discusses basic technique movements of hands from the point of view of hand function. Chapter 2 The Ears focuses on inner and external hearing which influences Erhu playing. Chapter 3 The Mind emphasize it is thinking that controls hands.Thus the dissertation comes to a conclusion:hands coordination challenges Erhu performers. The approaches lie on various training devices. The performer may treat each problem separately, then group them together into one unity. |
