A Study On Tragic Of Khaled Hosseini’ Novel

Khaled Hosseini is a new American Afghanistan writer,whose three novels Kite Runner A Thouthand Splendid Suns And The Mountains Echoed describe the people’s physical and mental trauma under the background of the the war in Afghanistan, everywhere reveals strong tragic color.Based on Hosseini’s three novels as the main research object,I will use the method of Text Study to study of the novel’s tragic and discuss tragic theme, image tragic and the tragic form.The introduction mainly introduces the Hosseini’s life, his novel, research status and put forwords the tragic, and talks about the specific meaning in the paper and the significance of this thesis.The first chapter reviews the definition of the tragic. Secondly, it in-depth analysiz the relationship between the Hosseini novel and traditional tragedy.The second chapter discusses the tragic theme in the three novels. I will discuss personal growth tragedy in the first quarter, analysising of the growth of male and female. The second section will discusse the tragedy of the family ethics, including regression of emotion about father and son, mother and daughter, brother and sister. The third section discusses immigrant survival tragedy, because the war and living in immigration exile is a culture of "the other", and a nation of "the other".The third chapter respectively discusses the three types of Hosseini’s tragic image. The first kind is a child image of the tragic, including is not accepted by the society of illegitimate child, lack of maternal love orphaned single pro-children and parents’ death children. The second type is the tragic female image, from the lower women represented by Mary and the knowledge women represented by laila. The third kind is the male image of the tragic,in which we will see the humble nasty side from the master, maintainer and subversives of traditional society.The fouth chapter mainly discusses the form of Hosseini’s tragedy. The tragic first directly from the endless war in Afghanistan. Second, the trauma in the Afghan people goes hand in hand the deep-rooted national prejudices. Again, the author’s view on tragedy was mainly affected by multiple religious ideas.In the last,I will have a relatively objective and pertinent evaluation and praise its aesthetic value and points out its insufficiency, trying to establish the meaning of the novel in the history of literature of Hosseini’novels.
