Rethinking The Literature Reading From The Perspective Of Modernity

Modern aesthetics was once a hot topic in literary theory research in 90’s. With the coming of the new century, though it could not be that hot like it once was, modern aesthetics has become part of the natural and right thinking in our literary theory research. In today’s literary theory research,great way has been given to the west modern art and theory.We should remember that modernism and post-modernism from the west countries has made great help to for our literary and art. But, it has finished it’s historic work. Modern aesthetics has brought with new bothers and crisis now. In fact, Modern aesthetics cannot make one happy, cannot help with healthy development both for personal and society goals.We should put the individual practice and China’s actual state in the first when we study the art works and theorys from abroad, and we should never trust any so called masters unconditionally. Our literary theory research had better make contribution to the creation and reading in our own country.
