What differentiates Mu Xin from other writers of his period consists in the spiritualnobility reflected through temperament and language. Spiritual nobility is the oneinterpreted in the sense of life being, rather than from sociological perspective, whosefinal duty is to maintain the royal character of pursuing both freedom and dignity.Consequently, the spiritual nobility in literature can’t fail to restrict it from beingmediocre.Firstly, the classification of target for spiritual nobility will be discussed through theprecise division of spiritual nobility. Simultaneously, the inheritance from the literaryclassics presents great significance to the spiritual nobility in the process of interpretationof his spiritual origin. Subsequently, the spiritual nobility in his literary works will beexplored in terms of language style, way of writing and attitudes towards art creation,whose spiritual level is mainly fixed on the insight into metaphysics for beauty. Moreimportantly, the pursuit for freedom and dignity enables the individual life to be enhancedin the self-accomplishment, embodying the classics into his literary work. Therefore,spiritual nobility should embody the root of art so as to maintain the original pure of art. Inthis process, no pure character will experience such a loss. Lastly, the critical significanceof spiritual nobility for the contemporary literature will be put forward as a conclusion.
