Poem Prefaces Of The Pre-tang Dynasty Study

Poem Prefaces originates from “Mao”, located between the poetic title and thepoetry text, which is able to clarify the background and the main idea of a poem andalso the emotion of a poet. Poem Prefaces originated in the Han, formed in the Wei,continued prosperity in the Jin and kept the continued development in the northernand Southern Dynasties. In the Tang, poem preface has been used widely. What’smore, as a special existence in history of literature, poem preface is formed bycombining the different forms of literatures with historical cultures which is able toreveal the way of cultural development and show people the change of cultural life, sowe can easily know that the poem preface contains valuable cultural and academicvalue.Pre-Tang poem preface had a significant impact on later poem preface fromsome aspects, such as the theme, content, systems, styles. I will interpretthePre-Tangpoem prefaces from the following four aspects which are based on203poem prefaces from the Han dynasty to the S ui dynasty.The first aspect is about the basic concepts for the poem prefaces. We gives thedefinition of poem prefaces through backtracking the significance of origins on the"preface" in text and the exploration, development, evolution of the poem preface.Secondly, it is about thePre-Tangpoem preface and the normal poem preface. Atthe beginning of this chapter, we discussed the institutional features of the poempreface andPre-Tangpoem prefaces separately, and then I compared the two poemprefaces from the writing form and function. By the end, I express the poem prefaceof the new development paradigm of poem of the Pre-Tang ordered.Furthermore，we are going to talk about the evolution of the Tang Qian’spoem-preface. I collected the information about the development of poem prefacesand analyzed the progress on theme and content from various periods according todifferent periods’ historical background. The Wei poem preface is what I focused onand put the most effort in during the research. Placing the poem preface on the macrobackdrop and discussion situation turbulent war-ridden era，Pre-Tang poem prefacerevealed in the times of scholar-consciousness of life.Finally, the values and achievements of poem preface about Pre-Tang. Poem preface is not only the first-hand information for interpreting poet, but also providesan important basis of philology for collation, compilation and provides us extremelyhigh academic value. In addition, the poem preface can also reveal the culturalinheritance, showing the history for readers. Enjoying the Cultural charm before theTang dynasty culture, we should admit the outstanding achievements and great valueabout Pre-Tang poem preface in Philology and cultural fields.
