Sanzong faith, originated before Sui Tang Dynasty, is the faith people have in mythology hero, Houyi. In the second year of Songchongning Dynasty, Sanzong God was made as the King of Huguolingkuang and thus became positive worship with national identity. During Jin Yuan Dynasty, the faith continued to develop and the faith reached its peak in Ming Qing Dynasty. From the end of Qing Dynasty, it gradually declined. Undergoing holocaust of wars, Cultural Revolution, and so on, it enters people’s life once again. The central place of Sanzong faith locates in Laoye Mountain, Tunliu County, Changzhi Municipality, Shanxi Province. During Ming Qing Dynasty, the faith spread over sixteen counties, concentrated on Zhangzi County, Gaoping County, Changzhi County, Lucheng County, and so on. As a special folk faith in southeast of Jin Region, it reflects not only villagers’ material and spiritual life, but also reflects the function of village community and the combination of villages during Ming Qing Dynasty. Therefore, in this thesis, Sanzong faith is a carrier and mainly studies people’s life, the relationship among village community and villages relationships connected with Sanzong faith.
