Georges Bizet’s opera created a peak period of the French Romantic opera, but as "scrap",few people interested in it, art songs was one of the important musical forms in Bizet’screative works,, although it was not the mainstream, it also had a great influence. Bizet’s artsongs had shown the unique folk music elements of French, and integrated Spanish folk genre.Lyrics and melody of Bizet’s art song combined perfectly each other, so that the songs did notbecome vulgar, but refined and elegant. His musical style is also unique, there are significantdifferences comparing with other contemporary composers. Song accompaniment is verycommendable, Bizet was good at integrating their superb piano technique and the contentwhich songs expressed to create accompaniment which was in line with the characteristics ofsongs. Most of Bizet’s art songs was very passionate, decisive and effective, which becausemost of its work related to the performance of the love. This paper analyzes the features andsinging style of Georges Bizet ? artistic songs from three aspects, mainly focus on "open yourheart". ? The first part is to understand George Bizet’s life and artistic achievements as well asanalyzing his work style; Then followed by a detailed analysis the lyrics, musical form, pianoaccompaniment of his masterpiece, "Open your heart,"; At last, singing skills and emotionaltreatment was analyzed"Open your heart" is the most famous art songs among his works. The combination withhis lyrics and melody, form layout, accompaniment texture, as well as singing methods andtechniques were all very representative.
