Research On China Related Reports In Bankongk Post

This paper discusses China related reports in Bangkok post, hence to reveal reports tendency, reporting features and China images reflected by China related reports on political, economic, social and military issues, which can potentially provide feasible suggestions to our country’s foreign broadcast.By applying the framing theory and content analysis, we underwent a detail qualitative and quantitative analysis on all the themes of China related news reports, and also a framing analysis on its political, economical, public and human rights issues. From our study, it is shown that Bangkok post has established a comparatively objective and neutral news report angle: a positive china image is reflected on china’s political, economical and military issues by both positive news and negative news; while a negative china image is given on public safety and human rights reflected by a majority of negative news reports, which is a prove to show china’s weak point and needs to be proved. At last, some advice is given to be possibly helpful.
