Life Exploring Of The Edge Figures

Yan Geling is a novelist who writes a good many novels. Although there are different viewpoints in every novel, these novels have the same core which is the edge figures and are made of the exploring lives by different kinds of edge figures.This article is divided by the types of the edge figures into four parts. The first one tells about the exploring life of political edge figures. A pair of shoes which are both right or left imply the difficult time of politics. People who wear and bear this pair of shoes are the political edge figures. And in this way, they show their toleration to their lives. But the prisoners who are also the political edge figures revolt their weakened lives in the way of sleepwalking and roaring in the cells. Depending on the time of each novel referred, the toleration and revolting to the weakened lives of political edge figures are always alternate, which shows that Yan Geling’s novels do not have a clear attitude toward this issue.The second part puts the mental edge figures as the analyzing objects. Some of these figures destroy the ties made by knowledge, insisting on suffering damage to the mental, for hoping the happy life could be kept. The others refuse the mentally disabled state through the way of recovering to the normal level. But as the novels which contain the two different attitudes to the mentally disabled state were written alternately, the novels give a perplexed posture to the question about how to deal with this problem.In the third part, the edge figures are divided into two parts: the social sex and the natural gender. The former one mainly refers to the men. Under the rule made by the society, homosexuality is forbidden, so the normally mighty men are experiencing the disabled life. As their counterparts, women are also the edge figures, they sometimes obey the rule that men’s words are important with tear, but sometimes they display the motherhood with their bodies. However, no matter the men or the women, there are a lot of puzzled difficulties during the period of making one choice in the novels.The fourth part mainly talks about the regional edge figures. Some of these figures choose to pursue and put up with the regions that are not their hometown, while the others resist the regions by not entering the core of languages of the regions, but only using the language as a kind of tool. By and large, the novels do not have a clear attitude to the question about whether to break through the bound of the regions.In a word, with the novels, Yan Geling relates different types of the edge figures and their exploring efforts towards lives.But the results of exploring are paradoxes. In fact, the exploring efforts are not only referring the processes, but also the results.
