The Comparative Study On The Headwords Between Haipianqunyu And Sishengpianhai

Haipianqunyu is a huge and vast dictionary, which belongs to Haipian dictionary series.They were all written in the Ming Dynasty. Haipianqunyu is edited indirectly based on the Sishengpianhai. Both of them include multitudinous characters, so they have a certain comparability in some way.The author has made a closed investigation about the headwords of Haipianqunyu and Sishengpianhai, and analyzed the obtained material according to Philology, the Chinese Exegetics and Textual criticism. This essay gave us a comprehensive introduction about Haipianqunyu, at the meanwhile made a deep analysis about the repeated headwords and summed up the types and causes of the repeated headwords according to the definition. Then it gave an objective description to the difference between the headwords which are included in Haipianqunyu and Sishengpianhai. And it tried to explain the reasons for the difference. At last, the essay discussed its implications. For one thing, the research is benefit to establish the Haipianqunyu’s position in the dictionary history and carding the dictionaries in order; For another thing, the research could contribute to the collation and arrangement of the two dictionaries, and improve their values.
