Playing And Teaching Of Piano Suite "The Combination Of Long-short"

The piano suite "The combination of long-short" was created in 1984 and established reputations for Quan Jihao as a famous young Korean composer, in this piano suite, not only the western composition techniques were learned, but also the specific rhyme “long-short” of Korean were fused into the composition. This is a large creative work with modernity and nationality and can be regarded as most influential works in China’s piano music. “long-short”as the most distinctive rhythm, which can be seen in this work. Three mucic melodies constituted the piano suite and they were named as “De de kong”, “Jin Yang Zhao” and “En mao li”, respectively. The characteristics of the music melodies were that all the melodies applied the rhythm of Korean folk music.In this paper, the life of the composer, perform analysis and teaching way of thinking were discussed and studied, as well as the piano suite "the combination of long-short". And three parts of the paper shown as follows:1)The introduction of Mr Quan Ji Hao and the creation overview of his piano works "combination of long-short". 2) The piano suite performing was analyzed from the perspectives of rhythm master, speed dealing, the imitation of timbres and pedal usage, meanwhile. 3) the teaching values and designs of teaching way of thinking in the piano suite were also studied.
