The Confucian Value System And The Socialist Core Values

The socialist core values is the core of the socialist core value system,which embodies the fundamental nature and basic characteristics of the socialist core value system. The socialist core values has three ideological sources, which one is the value theory of Marxism, the other is the value philosophy of western, and the last one is the Chinese traditional culture. As the mainstream of Chinese traditional culture, Confucianism which puts the value system as its core influences the development of Chinese culture. Practicing and cultivating of the socialist core values must be rooted in the Chinese traditional culture and the outstanding thoughts of Confucian. The Confucian thought in modern society for the development of innovative and the transformation of creative must be rely on socialist core values.The introduction part mainly introduces some basic concepts for the value, values, core values and the core value system.The first chapter is the Confucian value system, and the first section mainly introduces the core values of Confucianism, which include benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith. The third section is about the significance of socialist core values.The third chapter is the relationship between the Confucian value thoughts and the socialist core values, which selected some kinds of thoughts in Confucianism including to enrich the people, to improve people’s livelihood, to governing by ritual, to be in good faith and the ways of making friends, compared to the concept of prosperity, democracy, rule by law, be in good faith and be amicable.
