At early time, Ascott introduced classic cybernetics into art education, and become a new and unique education mode—rational art education system that base on Groundcourse. Groundcourse is the first achievement and the base of his whole theory system. Then he focused on the problems of art subjective liberation, human being limits, and proposed a solution of three levels of cyber art which based on the internet technology: cyborg and artificial intelligence marked the primary form of his new media art theory; then this theory turned into the moist theory of man-machine symbiosis which based on nanometer, bioengineering, and as the replenish of telematics theory. At last, he introduced another different scientific theories, and became the mature form theory-- fusion theory.Ascott’s new media art theory could be important guiding significance for the future direction of China dance field. We may turn the simple and unidirectional observation way of dance art into interactive way, which can make “communication” between the viewers and dance work. Viewers could just not view the dance, but join it and change the content and form of dance by the new active experience in the cybernetic and abstract world. In that means, dance isn’t just the simple form of artist mind expression or imitation of the real world. In cyber world, everyone is art creator, traditional artist is just one of participants. Beside, evaluation standards of dance art may be reconstructed, this will make a big change between new media dance and traditional dance, the corporality of dance will be extracted little by little. Interaction will make the new standard become bidirectional and diverse, but not single-way or authoritative.
