Throughout the history of design, in the process of classical art forms transformation to a modern form, every single new paradigm or genre of art is achieved by traditional art. This new art works always bring fresh blood to creat new strength of design and promote the development and updating of Art Design. Historical data demonstrates the importance of marginal interest in art and design.Unconventional design is worthy of study and discussion topics which deviates from the mainstream and conventional design, breaks through the limitation of traditional counterpart and broadens the form and definition. With the social and cultural development, people’s aesthetic has gradually changed so the ordinary conventional design can not meet novelty divergent psychological demands of people. People need a new visual impact and sensory stimulation. How to make the brand stand out in similar product advertising to win the consumer’s attention and concern, and convert attractiveness into economic in the attention economy era that is an important research.Although unconventional advertising design at the edge of the conventional design, which stand out in many conventional design.The unique and special image of unconventional advertising design brought unexpected visual experience to audiences.The paper stood mainstream tide to scan the conventional design. From the perspective of cultural flow to explore the correlation, difference and conversion between unconventional design and conventional design. The phenomena of cultural flow promotes metabolism and provides a new aesthetic charm and new creativity to conventional mainstream culture. The paper from the perspective of non-mainstream groups and the mainstream groups coexistence to analyzes the characteristics of unconventional advertising. Put unconventional design into the social structure to analyze the reasons for rebellion, radicalism and other psychological characteristics of youth audiences. According to the characteristics of the audience psychology and sticky ideas to discusses the abnormal visual expression and subject matter of unconventional advertising. Finally concluded that creation principle and value of unconventional advertising.
