Folk religion is based on the faith of ordinary people and includes ceremonial activities built around those beliefs, it is the integral part of daily life. The article is based on Field surveys in Zhonglongying Village, Jiuhe Towm, Lijiang, Yunnan Province. Using ritual theory that built by Emile Durkheim who is France community school’s representative and Arnold Van Gennep’s Rites theory. Essay with "Lao mama" which founded in2000year as a research object,then analysis of composition and structure of the folk religion group, cultural factor, features, function and infiltration of folk life.Specifically, first this article describes historical origin, geographical location, cultural background, temple, ethnic distribution economic situation of fieldwork location. second, vertically combed "activity chain" that occurred with different times and a variety of themes each year. On the other hand, in order to analysis the act of faith, sympathetic magic of sacrifice, cultural significance of the symbol that select a family ritual and a group activity as examples. Third, the women as principal member of group, operator of ritual activities, successor of cult and disseminator of culture play an important role, so I am going to discusses women’s folk soft grip. In the end, I will analysis formation and development of the group and the reason which it is still exists in today’s contest.In the modern context, Lao Mama organization made a few change, it reduced some superstitious elements, but increased more entertainment. On the other hand, Lao Mama organization play an important role in location people’s life, it have a profound impact on family life, social activities and ethnic ideology. So it will be better in the after.
