Some of them study its pronunciation, some study its rhetoric and some study its significance etc. There are plenty of natural and artificial meibutsu In the book of songs. Many people were interested in the meibutsu and carrled out deep researches. The study of meibutsu is a main content of traditional exegetical studies. The research of the early meibutsu in China started from the study of The book of songs. This article was based on The book of songs, more than fifty woody plants meibutsu in the book were included, and generations of main exegetical books and papers for data, using the method of analysls and synthesis, and learns from predecessors’ research achievements about melbutsu words of The book of songs. This paper made a classified summary about the woody plants meibutsu words In The book of songs. And then the author analyses the cultural connotation which have been refleted by the woody plants meibutsu in The book of songs, and the pragmatic relations these of words in the poem reflected.
