Study On Wu Zhong Who Is A Jin Opera Performing Artist

Wu Zhong was born in1940in Shanxi County of WenshuiProvince, who is the famous Jinju performing artist and is grantedfor the special honor to the heritage of Jinju, which is also regardedas a national non-material cultural heritage. Since1953, as anational-level actor, he was admitted to the Taiyuan drama school,studying from his firstly predecessor Zhang Baokui, Zhang Meiqin tothe worship Jinju master Ding Guoxian and specializing in Jinju;after graduation he stayed in Shanxi drama school, and has beenengaged in the art of stage performance until now.In terms of singing, Wu Zhong has enough courage to innovateand creates a unique style of singing for Jinju male students, whichis a new form for Jinju male students to find novel performance way.From the stage performance aspect, he pays attention to transplantclassical drama from drama in different places to Jinju stage. Themost memorial one is "Guan Gong show" performed on the Jinjustage, which is highly appraised by the whole society and it is calleda "living Guan Gong". During his50-years art stage career, hemasters in the repertoire and stage performances, performingdelicate and profound, and is good at using performance skills tocreate many vivid characters which plays an important role to improve for the development of Jinju performance art. After hecelebrates his40th birthday, he summarized his stage experienceto cultivate young actors without any reservations, makingsignificant contributions to the inheritance and innovation of Jinjuculture.In view of this, this paper focuses on the blank research of thedevelopment process of Wu Zhong’s performing arts, in order tocollect the relevant data of Wu Zhong, repeatedly visiting Mr. WuZhong and the related colleagues, family members, disciple, andwatching all the dramas of Wu Zhong, which is on the basis of acomprehensive and in-depth knowledge on his art life to analyze hisproductions, playing style, artistic figures and why many audiencessupport him. Try to elaborate and describe a real image to show WuZhong`s innovation and contribution of Jinju reform. What`s more,the author will pay more attention to the Wu Zhong`s reform andinnovation of Laosheng singing and hope these words can providebeneficial reference for young Jinju performers to learn from WuZhong`s spirit to work hard, keep pace with times and be innovate tocreate a more brilliant future for jinju drama. At the same time, theauthor also hopes to do her own best to provide some usefulhistorical materials and reference for Jinju research scholars andcomrades.
