To grasp the specific modelling in reality is the basis of painting but to infiltrate emotion in painting is difficult and it makes the painting more lifelike. Form and spirit are interdependent in the creation process of bird-and-flower painting. The most perfect, beautiful and supreme good image-building should be learned and appreciated in copying and painting from life. Copying is significant in the creation of Chinese painting from which an artist can experience the aesthetic meaning of ancient painting thus derive the nutrition benificial to his/her own creation.Painting from life is significant in forming personal painting style and seeking depicted themes from nature such as people and scenery or objects in ordinary world so as to grasp the internal structure law of the depicted objects.This thesis aims to explore the artistic conception manifestation of vividness based on the principle of "Me Alive" and "Oblivious of Me" in the expression of painting by employing exampls, contrasts and references. Poetry, book printing,philosophy, and art theory make the picture full of vitality. In the process of appropriating artistic work, artists should adjust their inner feelings and life experience to enrich and complement the artistic images of artistic work to give art more vivid life. Only when one learns to appreciate art, can they create art better.
