The Pactical Significance Of The Traditional Ink Figure Painting In The Prensent

The paper retrospects the development of the history of Chinese Ink Character Painting firstly, mainly discussing "the convention from material picture to Ink Character Painting", which is the author’s field during Graduate School. The author explains the importance of copying, sketches and material pictures in the creation of ink paintings, focusing on the refining, summarizing and sublimation of material picture when material picture is converted into ink portrait. Also, combining with the experience in learning and creating, the author generalizes and sublimates the key issues showing in the transformation from material picture to Ink Character Painting and proposes his own exploratory research.This paper mainly consists the introduction, the main body and the conclusion. The main body is divided into three parts. The first part of the main body describes the development process of ink portrait, which elaborates the origin, development and evolution of ink portrait in the history, unique style, genre, and so on, of the Chinese figure painting. The second part of the main body analyses the status of modern ink portrait. In the meantime, the paper asks drawers a fierce study of life and personal experience of drawing objects’ life experiences, extracting, generalizing and sublimating the effective elements of material picture and then showing the depth and spiritual content of the work. In the last part of the main body, in conjunction with his actual creation from material picture to ink portrait, the author describes how to use the effective elements in material picture so that effectively combining of character relationships intact. The author carried out a series of elaborate in creation of ink changes and the use of color and put forward some rudimentary insights. In the process of thinking and writing the paper, the author improved his understanding of ink figure further, which help his painting now, leading to deeper thinking of ink figure. The author found some deficiencies and areas for improvement in painting himself and believes that in the way of arts learning in the future, he needs to continue to improve.
