From participating in planning Four Generations Living Together,Expectation,Stories FromThe Editorial Board to directing A Native of Beijing In New York,Gua Sha and GoldenMarriage,Empresses in the Palace by himself,as well as the Red Sorghum which is very popularlast year.As a realism creators of film and television, Xiaolong Zheng adheres to the creativeprinciple of "lower root, higher oversee", focuses on the general public of China,and thenprovides lots of superior quality products for audience.However it does not bring out manysystematic research articles about the film and television of Xiaolong Zheng both at home andabroad so far, mostly articles just confined to analyze some popular works about the planning ordirecting by Xiaolong Zheng briefly, and these are full of disagreements and debates. So it isnecessary to adopt new methods to explain the social value in the productions of Xiaolong Zhengoverall.This paper attempts to research the film and television works of Xiaolong Zheng with acultural perspective, to interpret his products in macro and micro way, to reconstruct thehistorical and cultural context of products,and to search for the deeply reasons about thegeneration and the huge impact about productions of Xiaolong Zheng.Do these is just for dialysisthe works of Xiaolong Zheng better.From these productions perspective, Xiaolong Zheng went through three stages about the"Tentative period","Development" and "The mature stage",and then walked out a unique wayabout the creation. The subject matter of his works is rich,the narrative is flexible,the figure isbrightly.Then the content of those productions mostly have “home countries feelings”, andprofound artistic value and market value.So because the inherent qualities and positive energy ofthese works,these film and television works of Xiaolong Zheng can stand out from otherproductions.From the view of macroscopic cultural context, whether it is "carry forward the theme,encouraging diversity" of the policy, or many regulations issued by the state administration ofradio, film, or is under the market mechanism of catalytic film and television work quantity andquality of competitive factors, in different extent, affects and restricts the Xiaolong Zheng creation and development of the film and television works.Compared with other domestic film and television director, Xiaolong Zheng creation of filmand television works, have strong realistic critical spirit and keep pace with The Timesdevelopment innovation feelings, these are the lack of Chinese film and television market, worthevery creator learning and using for reference.
