From AD618to907, the Tang Dynasty lasted for290years, known as themost powerful and glorious heyday in China’s ancient history and Li Bai withgreat talents is definitely the representative of heyday literature. Li Bai filledwith immortal features yielded unusually brilliant results in the poetry aboutimmortals experiencing the spread and development of Han Dynasty, WeiDynasty and Six Dynasties. Sima Chengzhen praised Li Bai’s outstandingbehavior like that of immortals and as the representative of immortal culture,the poetry about immortals has been uniquely inherited and developed by LiBai and contained Li Bai’s unique immortal feature, which is extremely full ofcontemporaneity and uniqueness as well as has great research values.In this paper, it starts from the perspective of "celestial being character" tothoroughly figure out the production, development and completeness of LiBai’s "celestial being character” as well as the external representation andinternal implication of it in real life, to determine Li Bai’s attitude toward thecultural of celestial being and, on the other hand, its influence on him. It alsobuilds a bridge between Li Bai’s poetry about immortals and the style inflourishing Tang Dynasty, tries to depict the complete celestial system in LiBai’s immortals poetry, and the bearing of fairyland landscape to his unique"celestial being character", so as to dig out the unique bond between Li Bai’simmortal space and the reality space, to explore the special deformation ofimmortal culture that impacted by the spiritual world of Li Bai, furthermore, toobtain the original source of Li Bai’s spirituality as well as the real world remainunder Li Bai’s poetry about immortals. After the study on immortals poetry thatcreated by Li Bai, we can have a basic idea of the root of Li Bai’s uniquecharacter, and why the poetic genius “can’t be learned from”, as well as thereason that Li Bai can only be born in the Tang Dynasty.This paper is divided into two parts, in the first part, it summarizes thetraditional concept of celestial being in Tang Dynasty and its development as well as changes to lay a foundation for the following study. This part is dividedin the first chapter, the semanteme of the traditional celestial being is beingdefined precisely, and the object of study is also confirmed.It summarizes thedevelopment and changes of the concept of celestial being, and the uniquedeformations of celestial being image under the cultural influences of TangDynasty, which lays a foundation for the unique presentation of Li Bai’simmortal space that affected by his spiritual world.The second part is divided into four chapters, which starts from theresearch on "celestial being character" of Li Bai’s immortals poetry, it analyzesthe relationship between Li Bai’s "celestial being character" and his life story,explores the external fosterage and inherent implication of his legendary life onthe "celestial being character". Then it focuses on and gives a detailexplanation of the word "celestial being" through the "celestial being character"that expressed by his Poetry About Immortal, in the end, the unique expressionof “poetic genius” is adopted to present a celestial that adepts at both poetryand drinking, and take us to have a close look of the true world as well as hisspiritual origins.In the second chapter, it discusses the innumerable links between Li Baiand Taoism in three aspects, including the predestined relationship between LiBai and Taoism, the connection between Taoism and Li Bai’s career path, andthe impact of Taoism on Li Bai, with the purpose to explore the origin of Li Bai’s"celestial being character".The third chapter is about Li Bai’s celestial being pursuing and exploration,which is divided into "celestial being pursuing","be fond of Chinese alchemy"and "spiritual medicine" three sections, it discusses that Li Bai is a devoutbeliever in the celestial being, on this basis, the characterization andembodiment of Li Bai’s "celestial being character" is explored and hisformation of unique character and idea that helped by the culture of immoralbeings is also unscrambled.In the fourth chapter, it presents us the true looks of celestial world in Li Bai’s immortal poetry, and staging Li Bai’s creation of immortals poetry from apolitical perspective to study the characteristics of creation at each period, andto clarify the external representation and inherent implication of "celestial beingcharacter" on Li Bai, as well as how it effects his life story, digging the immortalimage produced by poetic genius, and the unique implication hidden inimmortal space.In the fifth chapter, it gives a general discussion on Li Bai’s "celestial beingcharacter", and the concrete manifestation of his "celestial being character" onhis life, as well as the root reason of Li Bai’s "celestial being character", it alsogives answer of why the poetic genius “can’t be learned from”, as well as thereason he was born in Tang Dynasty.
