| The comparative study between Chinese and English has started for along time,but the comparative study on Chinese spatial phrase and thecorresponding forms in English has developed in recent years.The recentstudy on Chinese spatial phrase and the corresponding forms in English areabout the error analysis.However, the comparative study on language ontologybetween Chinese and English is very rare.This dissertation is based on theclassification of Chinese spatial phrase,and combined with the theory ofcontrastive linguistics and linguistic typology.This paper made a comparativestudy between Chinese spatial phrase and the corresponding forms in Englishfrom their forms and functions.The first chapter in this dissertation explained the background andmeanings of the study,also the achievement and problem of the study,then theresearch method and the data source.The second chapter classified the Chinese spatial phrase and thecorresponding English prepositional phraseã€the adverbs of place,then made acomparative study between them.The third chapter the syntactic function of the Chinese spatial phrase andthe corresponding English prepositional phraseã€the adverbs of place,thenmade a comparative study between them. The fourth chapter summarized the main points and the deficiencies ofthis paper. |
