Research On The Individualized Expression Of Feminine Awareness In Rococo Paintings

Rococo plays an enormous influence on France in18thcentury and even the wholeEurope, which reforms the lifestyle and morality at that time. However, it is criticizedby most historians. It’s known that everything has two sides. In order to explore thepositive side of Rococo, this essay, with paintings in time of Rococo being its researchobject, looks for individuality and generality expressed in those masterpieces byanalyzing the representative four painters along with their paintings. Then, it aims atpresenting the nature of manifold forms of manifestation in paintings of Rococo andreviving a true and enlightening Rococo Art.This essay is composed of four parts. Firstly, by studying the historical background inwhich Rococo took shape and hunting for cultural origin through analyzing the politicaland economic status back at that time, this essay concludes the characters of Rococo indifferent times and then details them together with their evolution process, hencedrawing the essence of Rococo Art the application of Feminine Character. Secondly,the research of Feminine Character and the analysis of its origin provide the natureshowed in many manifestations, which is the embodiment of FeminineAwareness.Thirdly, in order to verify the definition of FeminineAwareness in Rococo, this essayanalyzes the paintings of four painters in Rococo period from three perspectives namedcolor, theme and formation. FeminineAwareness revealed in those paintings presentsunique and individualized expression. Finally, the research of FeminineAwareness inRococo period helps the researcher reexamine the painting art of Rococo and re-criticizeit in the hope of providing reference for modern Chinese painting.
