Analysis Of The Nature And Constitutive Elements Of Decorative Painting

Through the course of history and exploratory analysis of research status of decorative painting, this article clarifies that decorative painting is of decoration function attribute, compromises Drawing Art and constitutive rule of decoration, meanwhile it uses technique of expression in decoration to form the concept of comprehensive visual art pattern. What’s more, it generalizes three significant features of decorative painting through history of development and concepts clarification, which is decoration, painting and limitation. Personally, I think the characteristic formal rule and the principle of formal beauty are the important parts of decorative painting and analysis of the rule and constitutive elements of decorative painting formation contributes to the development of the creation of decorative painting. Through analyzing the formal rule of many decorative painting works and accumulated personal experiences of decorative painting creation, which concludes the principle of the formal rule and formal beauty in decorative painting. According to my understanding, constitutive elements of decorative paintings can be divided into compositions, models, colors, surface morphologies, materials and techniques. In this article, it analyzes formation characteristics, two special techniques in modeling elements of decorative painting---sorting and induction, exaggeration and deformation, several special types of color application in decorative painting, attribute and production techniques of surface morphologies. The key point of this article is the analysis of its constitutive elements, which clarifies the formal beauty of decorative painting and broaden its diversity and comprehensiveness. In the last part of this article is the research and analysis of decorative painting techniques. Exploration and sum-up of this technique contributes to enriching its pattern and varieties. The conclusion of these theories aims at its purpose of guidance and reference, which will help people understand decorative painting more comprehensively.
