| With the rapid development of teaching Chinese as a second language (TCSL), Chinese characters teaching as an important component is getting more and more attention. In recent years, although a large number of research and discussion on Chinese characters teaching has been done, it still in the basic stage."How to learn" and "how to teach" Chinese characters, has been a huge problem to teachers and students, holding the development of TCSL back.This paper takes Hungarian students as the object. By research and interview, we try to know their Chinese characters study situation and find out the problems. Combining with my teaching experience in Hungary, put forward some specific Chinese character teaching strategies for Hungarian students. This paper includes the following parts:The first chapter is the introduction, introducing the background of the topic selection, the significance of the study and research methods.The second chapter is the literature review. Summarize and generalize the current research achievements on teaching Chinese characters to foreigners.The third chapter is the research Chinese study situation of Hungarian students. By adopting the methods of quantitative and qualitative research and via questionnaire research and individual interviews, the third chapter gives a detailed analysis of the Chinese characters study of Hungarian students from several aspects such as, the attitude, strategy, ability of Chinese characters, suggestion on Chinese characters teaching etc.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the characteristics and problems of the Hungarian students in learning Chinese characters. Based on the statistical results of the third chapter, we find the Chinese characters study characteristics and problems of Hungarian students as follows:students’ initiative and enthusiasm in learning Chinese characters is not strong, Chinese character reading ability is poor, lack of basic knowledge of Chinese characters, Chinese characters learning strategy use inappropriate.The fifth chapter is some specific Chinese character teaching strategies for Hungarian students. In view of Chinese character study problems summarized in chapter four, from the aspects of improving Chinese character ability, learning method guidance and learning interest cultivation. We put forward some specific Chinese character teaching strategy for Hungarian students.The fifth chapter is a conclusion, summarizing the main points of this paper and pointing out the insufficiency. |
