| A large number of young women writers boarded the stage of literary world in1940s of Shanghai. Open Shanghai’s literary magazine, in addition to Eileen Zhang, Su Qing, Shi Jimei, Tang Xuehua, Cheng Yuzhen, Zheng Jiaai, Xing Heli, Yang Xiuzhen, Yu Zhaoming appeared very frequently, and they were named "female writers’ group from Soochow University" by Shanghai young readers.Because of the age and themselves, these female writers once submerged in the dust of history, until1990s, they came into the surface of history. In recently years the research on female writers’ group from Soochow University is getting more and more, but most of them put into the research of Shanghai style literature or citizen literature, and the independent research on them is still very rare. In a word, the research on female writers’ group from Soochow University still has a long way to go.This article takes their novels as the core, from the aspects of subject, thoughts, and arts grasping their creative features by trying to fully describe female writers’ group from Soochow University as much as possible. Most of their novels is about their familiar love and females, but such writing can be unpredictable, especially the unique feature of their thinking.Besides,they also wrote about reality and the lowest class of the society,such novels emphasize normal human feelings.Due to their education background and themselves, they were influenced by traditional Chinese Confucianism and western Christian culture at the same time, and they accepted it in a different way, which helped them to form their pure and noble outlook on life, world outlook and values, and these thoughts naturally reflected in their novels, constituting the ideological orientation of their fiction. The most striking feature is the "Beauty", they tried to display the beautiful ideas and feelings, to avoid the ugly things. In order to adapt to the "beauty", the form of the novels is beautiful, lyrical and of essay. With traumatic life experience they are often willing to end the story in a tragedy, and because they prefer incomplete beauty in the aesthetic tendency, made their novels be sentimental mood.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the external study of female writers’group from Soochow University, which is the basis of the full text, and through the analysis of historical data, this part will clarify the members of the writers group, analyze the reason for their appearance and the reason for their fame, and make a rough sketch for their creation situation. The first chapter is the theory of theme and their novels will be divided into three main parts, with analyzing their writing when they have differences of themes and thoughts. The second chapter will be the analysis of their main idea sources from the perspective of the education, and to discuss how these ideas embodied in their novels. The third part will be the analysis for the art feature from the text level. |
