Reason And Enlightenment Of Rapid Development For Culture Industry In Republic Of Korea

Since the21st century, every country pays more and more attention to develop cultural industry, the contribution of cultural industry to the national economy is rising, which has become the new bright spot of economic development. Before the Asian crisis, South Korea mainly developed agriculture and industry. It began to set eyes on cultural industry to change its single economy form after the crisis. Since1998, South Korea’s government has carried out the strategy of "cultural state", its cultural industry develops rapidly, and now, South Korea has become one of the five major cultural industry world powers. What’s more, South Korea’s publication, games, education, travel, advertising, audio-visual cultural products occupies a strong position in the cultural industry.The development of cultural industry has driven the development of South Korea’s economy totally, including export revenue, employment population and the size of the market, which is playing an important role in the development of the national economy. South Korea has created a "Korean wave" myth in ten years. The time of putting forward to develop the "cultural industry" in our country is same to South Korea, and like South Korea, we also emphasize on developing cultural industries, but after ten years, South Korean has become cultural industrial power in the world, we just get rid of the shackles of cultural system, and finished the cultivation of main culture market body. At the end of2012, the reform of state-owned for-profit cultural institutions for the enterprise restructuring has come true, and the development condition of our culture industry has been established, how does our culture industry enter into the rapid developing road in future? Under this background, the analysis of the cause of Korean culture industry, draw lessons from the successful experience of South Korea’s rapid development, will give us important inspiration and significance. Contrast to our culture industry,we find that there are three fundamental reasons, which has contributed to south Korean’s culture industry rapid development:Firstly, it has the mature market economy foundation; Secondly, it builds the perfect policy system and legal protection; Thirdly, it builds the efficient market operation mechanism. Through analyzing the causes of the development of cultural industry in South Korea, we can find the problems of our culture industry: Firstly, our cultural industry marketing degree is not high; Secondly, the cultural industry policies and regulations execution is not big. Thirdly, the international competitiveness of our cultural industry is not strong. From the developing of South Korea’s cultural industry, we should get the following enlightenment:Firstly, we should create a good market environment; Secondly, we should perfect our country’s cultural policy and legal system; Finally, we should enhance our country culture industry market operation ability.
